NOTE:SucceSS is the brand name of an exciting initiative aimed at promoting the professional services sector in Southern Staffordshire.
What is the professional services sector? The definition of professional services is broad and wide ranging and includes lawyers, accountants, architects, advertising, public relations, marketing, estate agents, HR, publishers, writers, photographers, graphic designers and similar activities. It is estimated that there may be some 3,200 businesses involved in the provision of professional services in Southern Staffordshire. Who is behind SucceSS? SucceSS is managed by Southern Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce.Which geographical area does SucceSS cover? SucceSS initiatives will be open to business and individuals working in East Staffordshire, Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock Chase and South Staffordshire local council areas. What are the main objectives of SucceSS? Professional services have been identified as a sector that has major potential wealth and employment creating opportunities in Southern Staffordshire in the future and the aim of SucceSS is to encourage collaborative working among the diverse activities to encourage business growth In what way will that collaboration show itself? Currently there is a tendency for local big firms, and companies looking to locate to Southern Staffordshire, to look to London, Birmingham and Manchester for their professional advice and services, SucceSS believes that by the simple process of diverse providers from this sub region coming together and pooling knowledge, skills and experience those services can be offered better, cheaper and quicker. 
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES One of the major aims of the SucceSS initiative is to promote the sub region of southern Staffordshire as an ideal location for business and professional services companies. Located at the centre of the national motorway and rail networks and close to two international airports, Southern Staffordshire scores heavily in terms of access to all parts of the UK and many major overseas centres. The SucceSS marketing group is charged with highlighting the other outstanding benefits to be realised by firms based in the area. Those benefits include the availability of development sites, the qualities and qualifications of the workforce and the ready support available from local authorities, academia and local businesses themselves. 
Everyone knows the importance of networking and the fundamental benefit it can have on business development. SucceSS is aimed at encouraging collaborative working between members to improve skills and knowledge and assist with driving forward business. SucceSS networking events have a strong emphasis on bringing the business and professional services sector talent closer together giving members the opportunity to establish new relationships with like-minded colleagues. With a diverse agenda SucceSS networking meetings provide everyone with the chance to share ideas, contacts and market intelligence to create opportunities for the sector in Southern Staffordshire Looking to the future Momentum is one of the biggest assets any region can possess and Staffordshire has it in abundance, with some of the world’s biggest names choosing to maximise excellent logistics, a competitive labour market and some of the best commercial and industrial facilities in the UK.
