Stafford Chamber

Stafford Chamber is situated in the heart of Stafford in the Civic Centre together with Stafford Enterprise.

The Chamber is an influential lobbying force and its voice, which positively and effectively reflects the views and opinions of the Stafford business community, has been heard at local, regional and national levels.

A long-term plan to stimulate business growth and help shape the future economic development of Stafford Borough has been unveiled by Stafford Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Member's views are regularly sought and representations made on their behalf. Regular meetings are held with the West Midlands Agent from the Bank of England, local Members of Parliament and Advantage West Midlands, and the Chamber is a member of Stafford Borough's Local Strategic Partnership.

The leisure and retail sectors have their own well-established committee to promote the interests of this expanding field of activity and to ensure that development and expansion is in keeping with the historic character of the county town.

Stafford Chamber was instrumental in introducing Service 1st, the scheme which identifies and rewards good customer service, into the Borough and will continue to work on the steering group to extend the scheme county-wide. A new web-based service called Think Local has been launched in partnership with Stafford Borough Council and it will encourage businesses and consumers to consider buying goods and services within the local area.

Events are held for new members to the Chamber to enable them to network and to meet key personnel providing chamber services and events will be held during the year on writing workplace policies to combat substance misuse and members will be given the opportunity to hear keynote speakers from Stafford Prison and MoD Stafford. Stafford Chamber organises its own Golf Day during the summer and the Annual President's Dinner in the spring has become a popular feature of the Chamber's year, with well-known guests providing the after-dinner entertainment.
